The last week in March we joined Matt, Julie and the kids for a week at the Boulder Mountain Lodge
Julie rented a beautiful large suite that included a kitchen--which was good since the Hells Backbone Grill was closed until April 8th.
Although Boulder was chilly and breezy, it was as beautiful as ever!
Julie's family enjoyed a hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls...
...while LuJean and I explored the local scene. The gas pump price was 34 cents.
We enjoyed a short hike to several rock art panels located amid the sandstone ledges north of the Escalante River Bridge. The trail is called, "100 Hands."
We also enjoyed walking around Devils Garden.
While Julie's family explored the Dry Fork Slots, we found dinosaur tracks near Left Hand Collet Canyon.
One my favorites was a short hike into a slot canyon about one mile east of The Gulch Bridge on the Burr Trail. It is called the Long Canyon Slot or Singing Canyon due to the remarkable acoustics.
It was cold and snowy at Bryce but good to be back.
In March our cute Maddie got her mission call to Burningham, Alabama. She will leave in July for 18 months.
