It must be genetics! New Year’s Eve at the Spaghetti Factory…

Before Christmas we asked:

“So Julie, what do you think the kids might like for a special treat?”

“How about a Costco gift card to The Old Spaghetti Factory—it would be fun on New Year’s Eve.”

Thus we were back (after many decades) enjoying New Years Eve at the Spaghetti Factory.

  


Recently Hank mentioned how much he enjoyed the old Quill Trader Rendezvous’ at year end. Those were indeed excellent times!

In altered style, the tradition continues…

Halloween 2016

The Eccles Theater Opens

 In November the new Eccles Theater  opened in Salt Lake City.  We managed to  get tickets for the Mormon Tabernacle  Choir broadcast during the opening  weekend.

 Later we attended Beautiful, the Carol King  Broadway musical. An impressive addition  to the city.

Star Valley Open House

In October, LuJean was excited to return to Star Valley, where she grew up, The occasion was the open house for the new Star Valley LDS Temple.  When we arrived it was threatening to snow, but the next morning was clear, cold, and beautiful.  We stayed at the new Fairfild Inn at Afton.  The return trip over Salt River Pass was magnificent.

Autumn & Ophir Pass

                                                                                Having discovered that the last week of September can be magically beautiful in the San Juan's, we returned to Telluride.  This year we rented a Jeep and did the Ophir Pass road over to Ouray just for the fun of it.

Later in June we joined Matt, Julie, and the kids for our annual trip to the Tetons.

 In July we joined LuJean's family for a get-together at the North Shore of Bear Lake.

In August we celebrated our 40th anniversary at Park City and the Uintas.
